Delivered in a week!
I wore them out today and they’re nice and warm and great for this rainy weather we’ve been having but they really hurt the back of my heel. Any tips how to wear them in faster? Some people have suggested running them over with a car or beating the heel with a stick but I rather not do that..
I watched Dead Man’s Shoes (another Shane Meadows film) the other night. It’s an amazing movie.
Toby Kebbell is a very good actor. I’ve only seen him in a couple of movies (the junkie musician in RocknRolla, Joy Division’s manager Rob Gretton in Control) but I think he’s great. Paddy Considine (who plays Kebbell’s brother Richard in Dead Man’s Shoes) also played Rob Gretton in 24 Hour Party People.
P.S I’ve lost my battery adapter for the dslr so I won’t be using it for a while until I replace it. I guess I’ll get into film photography then.

i put cardboard in the heel of my boots to stop it rubbing so it wouldnt hurt so bad. then i just wore them evvverrywhere..all the time, now they are great!
but if you discover a quick fix, let me know so i can go buy another pair!

Good idea! I was just thinking of wearing two pairs of socks. Or maybe really thick socks..

OH OH OH.
If your shoes are hurting you, rub sunlight soap on the shoes in the area that’s causing you pain and it’ll stop it rubbing against your heels and will help soften it.
ALSO rub some dubbin leather softener on them…and wear bandaids on the back of your heels for a while.

I wore really thick socks & band aids to wear mine in, after a while they’re fine.
