Touch me I’m sick.

No, I’m not dead/in hiding.

I’ve been pretty busy not taking photos or going to gigs or doing anything interesting enough to blog about.

Here’s a little update of what I remembered doing:

- Played a few games of Scrabble one night at Norita. It’s a cool little cafe that hires out board games. Level 2, 77 Liverpool Street, Chinatown. Open til midnight on most days and I think 2am on Fridays & Saturday.

- Went to the markets in Prestons (feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere). I was looking for an old record player but failed. I asked around and a lot of them were trying to sell me their cabinet-sized record players they had at home. I bought a Yashica Electro 35 (1970’s) instead. It was $20. I haven’t tested it out yet but I hope it works.

- House got infested (exaggerating) with bugs so I’ve been fumigating/cleaning the house like a meth addict.

- Coffee and then vodka and then tea. Not a very good mix I must say.

- Using this tote bag I drew on sometime last year. I did a shit job at drawing (I have trouble drawing noses) and colouring but I’m using it anyway. It looks okay from far away. Very far away.

- Was a little awkward at a sushi train in World Square.

- Re-enrolling into a course to hopefully get inspired by surrounding myself with design students. I’m planning on staying there for about a semester  so I can get my brain in a good (creative) state.

- In the car, listening to Little Richard. Really fun music to listen to when the traffic is terrible.

- I don’t know who this John is but it was his 29th birthday and the cupcake was good.

- Bought tickets to Semi-Permanent

- Wearing docs, getting compliments/stared at/stopped on the street. They’re good and comfortable now.

- Found this little ashtray in my room.

- Wondered why there were so many people wearing green and being drunk then I remembered it was St. Patrick’s Day.

- Felt like my insides were dying a few times.

- Thinking of deleting my facebook account because the layout is making me hate it even more than I did before. I went on facebook thinking ‘what the fuck, did I just log into twitter?’

  • yeay trash/treasure
wednesdays are the best for bargaining

  • cool, i might check it out on a wednesday. i feel like buying more cameras.

  • I want to get into photography again, I used to do a bit back in the early 90s when I toured with pearl jam (all bs right there btw). I’ve got an 80s Pentax ME Super and a new canon 450D slr or something. Not that they are actually mine, but they will be stolen from the house. they any good?

Annie you need to get an rss feed for your site, easier to follow blogs that way.

  • They’re both good cameras. Check out http://flickr.com for other people’s photos using those cameras. I don’t know much about the pentax except that it’s a film slr so you can’t go wrong there. The canon is a good starter camera for dslr. I know quite a lot of people who shoot amazing photos with it. I tried once or twice and didn’t know how to use it so I’ll just stick to nikon.

With wordpress blogs, I just get their feeds by putting /feed at the end of the url so I think http://anniely.wordpress.com/feed should work..

  • Holy shiiiit that thing made my walls move, amazing! I was looking at the Redhead painting/drawing you gave me afterwards and I was all “whooooaaaah”, especially because I’d been running on two hours of sleep, three hours of uni & three hours of public transport at the time….

ANYWAY. Testing out your camera, etc, SOON, betch.
